W hether you're worried about the Coronavirus or any health condition, I believe God is calling us to stand in faith and resist a spirit of fear AND use God- given wisdom to take care of our health and bodies. We need to remember that our Father in heaven never tries to instill fear, panic or crisis. He is the Prince of Peace who gives us abundant life, health and joy unspeakable. "He has not given you a spirit of fear, but love, courage and a sound mind." (2 Tim. 1:7) As His children, we need to remember that, "without faith, it is impossible to please Him…" (Hebrews 11:6) So, Jesus answered and said to them, "Have faith in God. For assuredly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea', and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore, I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them" (Mark 11:22-24). I believe God is calling us to rise up in His authority and speak to this virus and command it to be disintegrated and destroyed. We need to command every curse associated with it to be destroyed and pray that everything the enemy means for harm would turn for our blessing. We are not to sit by as victims to this, but to stand victoriously against it. In the story of creation, in Genesis 1:26-28, He gave man authority and dominion over everything He created. Let's stand in faith and not be shaken by the plans of the enemy. There are several positive things we can do to boost our moods and possibly our immune systems to help protect ourselves no matter what challenges we are facing. Here are some daily tips to help us live more rich and abundant lives, no matter what the world sends our way. • Intercede for ourselves, our loved ones and those who are sick. • Declare Psalm 91 out loud. • Listen to positive music and sing along. One of my favorite songs is The Blessing, by Kari Jobe and Cody Carnes. • Pray in the Holy Spirit. • Ask God to bless our food, supplements and medications. • Have faith that He will do what we ask in accordance with His will. • Wash your hands frequently with warm soapy water and keep your hands and fingers away from your eyes, nose, mouth and ears. • Eat whole, unprocessed foods. Let summer fruits and vegetables bless your family's table. • Get adequate sleep and exercise. • Avoid sugar which may suppress your immune function. Finally, always have an honest talk with your family doctor to make sure you are making the right choices for your body. God made us all wonderfully different! He created the immune system to be our defense against harmful invaders. He has provided amazing (and delicious) tools to keep our immune system strong in order to ward off disease. He promises us, in His word that He will protect us when we Healthy, Happy Living for the Mind, Body and Soul Tammy Jenkins 20 spring/summer 2020
