4 fall 2019/winter 2020 F all is in the air and I LOVE IT! At last, nature gives us a respite from the long months of the summer heat. Temperatures have finally begun to fall, and the trees are starting to show their beautiful colors. Every year I can't wait for the leaf colors to be ablaze in red, orange, yellow and brown. Last Christmas I told my husband, Gary, that the only thing I wanted was a new tree planted in my yard that would yield the vibrant colors of fall. Early last spring, Gary called me and said, "Preston is here to plant your tree!" I'm not going to lie; I was like a kid on Christmas morning! IT WAS CHRISTMAS all over again for me. Now, as we embrace the changing of the season, I can hardly wait to see what color my tree will be. I have enjoyed the summer's green color, but the anticipation of seeing it in full autumn color says, "fall" in a new way to me. To me, autumn is the perfect time of year. It combines an enormous amount of anticipation into a few short months, and anticipation of good things is what helps make our world go around. Every year, children (and adults) anticipate Halloween costumes, the big candy haul, and sugar highs. en we start thinking about anksgiving, the turkey, the stuffing, and the overload of delectable desserts. And of course by then we are decorating for Christmas and buying/wrapping presents and eagerly awaiting the year's end with my favorite holiday – Christmas! Just thinking about the ANTICIPATION of what's ahead, makes me want to sing Carly Simon's song. Yep, it made you want to sing it, too. ANTICIPATION! Anticipation is excitement; it's waiting eagerly for something you know is going to happen. at's how I feel about every issue of GLIFE! I am always excited to share with you, the reader and supporter of GLIFE, the articles that will be encouraging and inspiring to you in your journey of life! Proverbs 13:12 (MSG) says, Unrelenting disappointment leaves you heartsick, but a sudden good break can turn life around. I encourage you to anticipate the good that God has for YOU! Anticipate the good break that can turn your life totally around! God wants to be a part of your daily life. LET HIM BE! I am anticipating with you! Living and Loving Life!
